Virginia Tucker Hankins, age 76, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Born at Pine Bluff on July 7, 1946, she was a daughter of the late John Tucker and Hazel Floyd Tucker and a graduate of Pine Bluff High School.

Mrs. Hankins was a retired seamstress and embroiderer. She traveled to several states to teach others how to operate embroidery machines. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Mrs. Hankins and her husband were founding members of the Highway 15 Volunteer Fire Department, and she served as a firefighter and a member of the board of directors for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Perry Hankins on May 9, 1996; and two sisters, Ella Ree Rice and Joy Bearden.

Survivors include two sons, John Hankins and Charles Hankins (Keisha), both of Mena; two sisters, Kay LaRue of Houston, TX and Mary Moore of Pine Bluff; and two granddaughters, Kaylee and Arabella Hankins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow in Harmony Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Neil Quick officiating. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
