Sammy Lee Clowers, age 64, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
A lifelong resident of Pine Bluff, he was born December 25, 1957 to the late George Duff Clowers and Vivian Porter Clowers. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1975.
Sammy attended UAPB and the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned an associate’s degree in electronics technology.
Sammy worked as a copier technician for South Arkansas Business Solutions for 16 years. He retired in 2021 due to illness.
He was a member of First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He loved to canoe on the Buffalo River and raising Doberman Pinschers. Sammy also was fascinated by any kind of clock.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Clowers.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Jean Plato Clowers, whom he married on May 30, 2017; a step-daughter, Amber Huett (John); and a brother, Tommy Clowers.
Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2021, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church. The service will follow at 4:30 p.m. with Brother Robert Cossey officiating. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
