She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, G.W. Bass; her parents; and her brother Pat.
She is survived by her children, Pat Bass and wife Bernadette of San Antonio, TX and Patsy Kelley of White Hall; grandchildren Patrick Bass and wife Traci of Comanche, OK, Jason Kelley of Bella Vista, and Jennifer Dees and husband Daniel of Lockhart, TX; seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and her sister Rose Hickerson, of Mena.

Ruie and I were childhood friends, playing games, climbing trees, running from her brother , Pat's, pet goat. I enjoyed many wonderful meals with her and Rozelle as her mother, Miss Ruie , was the very best cook. She and G. W. were such a happy couple and parents. Later she was so generous to bring pecans when she came to Leon's dental office. We always had many memories when we got together. Ruie was a wonderful Christian lady who was ready to help others and loved her family, church and friends. Patsy, Pat, Jason and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. She will be missed by many.

She was a very kind sweet lady. She would tell you about Jesus and a pleasure to be around. She drove all the way from her home to my office in white hall ar twice to bring me a pecan pie. The BEST pecan pie ever. I instantly knew she was a special lady from day one. She will surely be missed.
