Ruben Torres, 82, of White Hall, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born June 1, 1941 in Ponce de Leon, Puerto Rico to Melton Torres and Juanita Cruz Torres.

            Ruben was raised in California, and served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He moved to White Hall in 1978 and worked as a salesman for Weyerhauser for 20 years until his retirement in 2006. Ruben loved to dance and sing, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and Christian. He was a member of Family Church in White Hall where he served as a volunteer and an usher. Ruben truly had a heart of service.

            Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers; and his sisters.

            Survivors include his wife, Patsy C. Torres, whom he married June 27, 1964 in Carson City, Nevada; five children, Michael G. Torres (Carol), Tami L. Ford, Dale A. Torres (Kelly), Tom A. Torres (Angie) and Tina R. Griffith (Chris); 13 grandchildren, Stephen M. Torres, Stephanie M. Torres, Lyndsey S. Ford, Sean J. Ford, Michael A. Torres, Tori S. Torres, Beau C. Torres, Kristin White, Tara D. Torres, Shelby D. Elizondo, Garrett C. Griffith, Katie G. Griffith and Ryan H. Griffith; and nine great grandchildren, Aidan J. Torres, Emory C. Torres, Maverick D. Torres-Berkebile, Connor White, Olivia V. Elizondo, Scarlett D. Elizondo, Aubrey N. Griffith, Jacob H. Griffith and Parker L. Griffith.

            A memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Family Church in White Hall with Bro. Cadell Welch officiating.
