Pam was a well known and much loved member of the community. I went to a Dollar General. When I was checking out the cashier asked me if I used to teach. I told her yes. She said, " You know Pam Turner passed away?" We lamented about how sad it was to lose her. I don't know how the woman knew Pam; if she was a parent of one of her students, a former student, or if she knew her through sports, but it's obvious that many people knew and loved Pam. What a wonderful legacy!

It has been many years since I've seen Pam, but I have so many wonderful memories of her infectious laugh and many happy times. We taught together at Sam Taylor and I know she had much influence over many youth in Pine Bluff. I also worked for a time at Wesley UMC and knew her family there. Heaven will be a more fun place with Pam there, and I'm sure she is organizing a sports game right now. RIP, Pam. Much, much love!!
