She had also worked for several Savings and Loan businesses. She retired as supervisor of receptionists for Wilson and Associates Law Firm in Little Rock.

She was a longtime member of Eastside Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

In addition to her parents, Mary Nell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Wright Hudson on December 31, 2018; a son, Paul R. Hudson; and four siblings, Helen Gibson, Robert Reed, Havis Reed, and Rufus Lee Reed.

Mary and Scott, my heart goes out to you in this very sad time. I always loved your mom and enjoyed our time together. I am so glad I had a quite long conversation with her after Paul’s death. You both are in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of y’all growing up at the salon. Stay strong.

Scott and Mary Beth I am so deeply saddened to learn of the death your mother and my dear friend. I treasure the many good times we enjoyed. It started with sorority and continued through ball and all the things that went
with your growing up years. So sorry that I cannot be with you during this time. She as well as you are deeply loved. Patsy Stone.

Everyone who was lucky enough to have known my Mother at any point throughout her life, knew she was a very, very special person. She truly was my "rock." She did everything within her power to keep us safe and together. She was 110% family driven and I could literally do no wrong. Now my "rock" has gone home. I love you momma. Thank you for putting up with me and my terrible ways, through thick and thin, with no questions asked! I cannot wait to see you and Daddy again. I love you. Scott
