Marjorie Ann Walter Zuber, age 85, of the Hardin community, near White Hall, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Born March 20, 1935 in Jefferson County, she was a daughter of the late Costello Walter and Mildred Owens Walter and attended Dollarway Schools.

Marjorie worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for many years. She served at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, Tyson Foods, and with several local ambulance services.

A member of Central Baptist Church for most of her life, she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Pine Bluff-John McAlmont Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Marjorie was honored by the National American Heritage Committee in Washington, DC for her skill in doll crafting. She was also a member of the Grace Willing Workers Extension Homemakers Club where she served as historian.

Loving on her grandbabies and traveling around the world with her sisters were some of her favorite things to do.

She was the widow of John L. “Jack” Zuber who predeceased her in 2001.

Survivors include her children, Melissa Poe and husband Danny, Amanda Hill and husband Eddie, John Zuber and wife Becky, and Kathleen Burch and husband Ron; eight grandchildren, Josh Davenport, Lauren Roush and husband Heith, Jenny Thomasson and husband Jake, Lindsey Shearon and husband Sam, Tyler Zuber, Sydney Zuber, Jackson Burch, and Michael Burch; seven great-grandchildren, Gabe Davenport, Eli Davenport, Annabeth Roush, Wyatt Thomasson, Ava Shearon, Bennett Shearon, and Cooper Shearon; three sisters, Connie Herrin, Ruth James, and Cathy Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 26, 2020, 11:30 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother Jordan Ferris officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed for the protection of everyone attending.

I just loved and admired this lady. Everyone did I loved visiting with her in our EHC work. She was so special. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss Marjorie. RIP
