Obituary for Marilyn Kay Hill (DePriest)

Marilyn Kay Hill, 75, of White Hall, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 10, 2019, at her home.
Kay was born March 13, 1944, in Dinuba, California, the daughter of John Marion and Theria Juanita Woodward DePriest. As a child, Kay moved from California to Plainview, Arkanasas, where she graduated from Plainview-Rover High School. She played basketball there as a Plainview Panther. She later moved to Pine Bluff, where she met and married the love of her life Robert E. Hill. They moved to Waterbury, Connecticut, where they raised 6 children.
Kay was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, and arts and crafts. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.
Kay is survived by two sons, Robert E. Hill, Jr. of White Hall and James Edward Hill of Waterbury, Connecticut; two daughters, Roberta Jean Mullins and Cynthia K. Jacobs, both of White Hall; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Gene DePriest of Pine Bluff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. Hill, and two sons, Tommy Lee Neely and John Arron Hill.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, 2:00 PM, in the Robinson-Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with Reverend M. L. Faler officiating. Family and friends are welcome to come to Mrs. Kay’s house, 225 Tracy Road, White Hall, Arkansas, after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials take the form of donations to Oak Grove Baptist Church Youth Group, 13112 Dollarway Road, White Hall, Arkansas 71602.
