Obituary

Maida Emma Sullivan, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021. She was born October 11, 1944 in Paragould to the late Johnnie and Maudie Tidwell Kemmett.
Maida attended Concord High School in Concord, Arkansas, then worked at M.M. Cohen, Baldwin Electronics and Razorback Printing. She loved taking care of animals and helped with the Lonestar Equine Rescue Unit. Maida enjoyed coloring in coloring books, and making artificial flower arrangements and giving them to anyone who wanted one. She was a member of Green Meadows Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jim Sullivan, whom she married May 15, 1964 in Little Rock; son, Darren Sullivan; sisters, Dorothy and Fonda; grandchildren, Jordan Scifres and Greg Sullivan; great grandchildren, Landree Kate Sullivan, Broox Sorey and Kendyll Scifres; niece, Kelly Rund; and nephew, Jamie Helms.
Maida was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Lee Kemmett; other family, mother, Christine Helms; and brothers, Maurice Helms and Aubrey Helms.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Jasper officiating. The service will be livestreamed for anyone unable to attend. Visitation will be 1:00 until funeral time Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to: Jefferson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2233, Pine Bluff, AR 71613.

So very sorry for your loss Darren & family . Mrs Maida was a very special lady to me for many years . She never met a stranger and was always ready to talk your ear off . My prayers are with each of you now and the days to come . She will be missed .
