Obituary

Joyce Evelyn West East, 72, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at her home.

She was born September 12, 1947, in England, Arkansas, a daughter of the late William Henry and Mattie Beatrice Stogner West.
She was reared and received her education in Reydell and Dewitt.

Joyce retired from Welch Nissan in Pine Bluff.

She loved the Lord, the Razorbacks, fishing, her yard and her loving family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her twin daughter, Cindy Hodges, brother, William Henry (Buddy) West, Jr., and sisters, Opal Johnson and Hattie Reed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Don East of Pine Bluff; twin daughter, Mendy (Dub) Taylor of White Hall; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ray West; sisters, Betty Elam, Billie Gibson, Irma Holloway, Carol Parenteau, Doris Bullock and Nancy Selman; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family of whom she will be missed dearly. She also is survived by her fur-babies Roxy and Crickett.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a memorial service following the visitation at 1:30 PM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Celebrant Marty Shell officiating.

The family has requested that memorials take the form of contributions to the Jefferson County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2233, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71613.

Can't believe Joyce is gone! I really enjoyed our visits when I would come by to pick up some eggs. We would talk auctions, flowers, chickens and what ever else came to mind. Her baby brother, Buddy, was my brother-in-law. So not only were we friends, but also family of sorts.
RIP Joyce. I'm really going to miss you. God Speed.
