Obituary

James Evans Everette, age 75, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Born May 12, 1945, in Sherrill, AR, he was a son of the late Evans Martin Everette and Earcel O’dean Gardner Everette. He attended Watson Chapel Schools.

Mr. Everette worked as Operator 1 in the pulp department at International Paper Company. He retired after 40 years of service.

He was a member of New Harvest Church of God, where he served as an elder.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Everette Ogle; and a brother, Marcus D. Everette.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Rainey Everette, whom he married on May 15, 1964 at Pine Bluff; a daughter, Carmen Montgomery (Daniel); a son, Jimmy Everette (Christina); two brothers, John Everette (Joyce) and Danny Everette; two sisters, Annie Krause and Laverne Motsinger (Stan) and his grandchildren, Jeremi Ogle, Aaron Ogle, Elisabeth Montgomery, and Essie Montgomery.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at New Harvest Church of God with Pastor Travis Creekmore officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery at Altheimer by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
