Hazel Ann Newton Wheeler,100, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2021.
She was born October 26, 1920, in Desha County, Arkansas, to James A. and Carrie Appleberry Newton.
She was a long-time member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and had worked as a Kindergarten teacher at Edgewood for the Watson Chapel School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wheeler; her parents; a brother, J. Howard Newton, and a sister Lois Peacock.
Survivors include her son, Frank Newton Wheeler (Barbara) of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Barbara Graves, Jimmy Quarles (Valerie), David Boudra (Christa); great-grandchildren, Courtney Joseph (Kinnith), Hunter Quarles, Donny Graves (Ashlynn), and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service managed by Fuller Hale-South will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Jefferson Cemetery in Winchester, Arkansas.
