Gerald Hill was my uncle. He and his wife opened their home to me and my siblings when we had no where else to go when we were young. Uncle Gerald always made sure that we were taken care of all the way through adulthood. He will be abundantly missed.

Gerald was quite a mama's boy. Everyday when he was in 1st Grade, he had to run home to check on his mom. He only lived across the street from school, but he gave his teacher fits when he left.
Gerald was also a very good ball player. He was the only 8-yr old to make a little league team when he started playing baseball in Andrews, TX. I can still see that tiny little guy playing second base. He was fast and could hit the ball a mile.
