Obituary

Gary Craig Pardue, 79, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Pardue was born July 23, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Clinton Burdell and Elizabeth Christine Franklin Pardue. He was reared and received his education in Nashville, Tennessee and High Point, North Carolina. He was a graduate of North Point High School. After graduation, he attended vocational school and became a machinist.
In 1962, he married Linda “Marie” Johns and they moved to Middleburg, Florida in 1983, where Gary worked for Metal Container Corporation as a machinist. He moved to Pine Bluff in 2009.
Gary was a faithful member of Hazel Street Church of Christ. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed helping others.
Country Music was his passion. He loved playing the guitar and singing with his many friends. He had one special friend, David Rodgers, who taught him to play the guitar. He also enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Carol Baker Pardue; two daughters, Patricia (Jim) Baab of Dandridge, Tennessee and Debi (Tony) Henschel of Bryceville, Florida; four grandchildren; six step grandchildren; one great grandson; six step great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kim Pardue; and his beloved canine friend, Ellie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Linda “Marie” Johns Pardue, son, Ronald Craig Pardue, and his brother, Michael Pardue.
Memorial services will be Saturday, November 23, 2019, 2:00 PM, at Hazel Street Church of Christ with Mr. Roger Gean officiating. There will be a visitation immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2222 Cottondale Lane Suite 310, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202, or American Heart Society, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.

I met Gary shortly after he moved to Arkansas. My husband and I took a great liking to him. Gary also became the Great Grand father to my little Darlin
She loved Gary very much! He will be missed by all who had the okeasure of spending time with Gary
