Obituary

Fred S. Shelton Jr., 72, of White Hall, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was born April 22, 1948 in Pine Bluff to the late Fred S. Shelton Sr. and Ivoy Massey Shelton.
Fred grew up on Lake Wallace and loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a corporal during the Vietnam War, and spent the rest of his life as a proud marine. Fred worked as a heavy equipment operator and welder.
Preceding him in death were his parents; granddaughter, Destiny Shelton; sister, Freddie Sue Shelton; and brother, Bobby Lee Shelton.
Survivors include his wife, Artavia Burks Shelton; son, Mark Shelton (Rebekah); daughter, Shannon Inman (Charles); sisters, Alice Vann and Mitzie Nooner; grandchildren, Fred Shelton III, Mark Shelton Jr., Matthew Shelton, Sarah Green (Shane) and Corey Doss; and great grandchildren, Channing Green and Caden Green.
Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Lee Cemetery with celebrant Marty Shell officiating.
The family will gather at the house of Artavia Shelton, 2406 O’Mary Drive, White Hall, AR.
