Ella Olinghouse Dodson, age 94, of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Born May 2, 1928 at Lonoke, she was the only child of the late William Olinghouse and Audrey Oliver Olinghouse and was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College.

After moving to Pine Bluff in 1962, she taught 4th grade at Southwood Elementary School for 30 years. As a sideline, she was the owner and operator of This and That, a lady’s clothing and accessory shop for many years.

Mrs. Dodson was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the American Business Women’s Association.

Her husband, Ray Dodson, Jr. preceded her in death on October 25, 2007 after 56 years of marriage.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Dodson Mitchell (Morris) of Conway, Gail Dodson Magli of Murfreesboro, TN, and Donna Dodson Norton (Voy Ray) of Woodlawn; six grandchildren, Matthew Mitchell (Andrea), Devon Mitchell Riggle (Aaron), Kristen Mitchell Lewis (Jason), Lauren Magli, Chase Magli, and Sidney Norton; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Cypress Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
