Charles Ray Cantwell, 72, of White Hall, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, in a local hospital. He was born February 4, 1948, in Conway, AR, to J.C. and Mary Helen Cantwell. He was preceded in death by his mother; a son, Royd Green; a daughter, Thalia Warren; and aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cantwell of White Hall; his father, J.C. Cantwell and wife, Brenda, of Rison; his children, Cassie Cantwell and husband, Charlie Prather of Pine Bluff, Kailei Cantwell of Golden, MO, Thomas Cantwell and Brent Green of Pine Bluff; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including two he helped raise, Logan Harris and wife, Ashely and Lacie Harris and husband, Chris, of White Hall; one brother, Jerry Don Cantwell and wife, Delores of White Hall; two sisters, Sue Frye of Rison and Clara Trammell of Benton; and a number of other relatives.

Charles was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. He never met a stranger, and had a happy spirit and a keen sense of humor.

He worked all of his life. He began working for Jefferson Auto Repair as a body man. Later, he worked for Ben Pearson in the bender department. After his time there, he worked as a security guard for several local businesses. Finally, he worked for Auto City Car Lot as a salesman.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at New Beginnings Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Cantwell officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Memorial Gardens. Services are entrusted to the care of Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fuller Hale-South.
