Basil Holland, 94 of White Hall, passed away, Friday, July 12th, 2019.
Born November 20, 1924 at Gould, he was a son of the late Obie Holland and Jennie Bell Hardin Holland.
A proud United States Army World War II veteran, Mr. Holland retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal in 1980 after more than 30 years of service.
His pastimes included telling stories of his life experiences, including his time in the Army overseas during World War II; gardening, woodworking and most importantly spoiling his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Imogene Throneberry Holland on November 15th, 1999; step-mother, Florence Williams Holland; sisters, Earlene Mousseau , Juanita Holland, and an infant sister; three brothers, D.F. Holland, Hardin Holland & Joe Holland; granddaughter, Jennifer Graves.
Mr. Holland is survived by his daughter, Leslie Kennedy and husband Gerald; brother, Phil Holland and wife Linda; a sister, Ann Love; grandson, Bryan Graves and wife Holly; great-grandson, Jack; and many other loving family & friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 17th, 10:00 a.m. in Dark Corner Cemetery at Gould with military honors.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale South Funeral Services in Pine Bluff.
